NAD+ therapy

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme naturally present in every cell. It contributes to cellular energy production, mitochondrial function and cellular repair and maintenance mechanisms.

NAD+ levels in the body change with age and physical or psychological strain. NAD+ therapy aims to replenish it and support natural cellular processes.

We use certified products from NAD Clinic, described by the manufacturer as pharmaceutically manufactured NAD+ formulations. Therapy is tailored to your health, goals and chosen form of administration.

Who the therapy is suitable for

NAD+ therapy may be suitable for clients wishing to support:

  • cellular energy and overall vitality
  • physical and mental recovery
  • cognitive performance
  • recovery after physical exertion
  • metabolic and mitochondrial functions

How it works

  1. Medical consultation

We assess your health, medical history, medication and, if needed, laboratory results.

  2. Choosing the form of administration

The doctor selects a suitable form of administration: intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SQ). They also determine the dose and number of administrations.

  3. Supervised administration

Infusion administration takes at least 90 minutes and is supervised by healthcare professionals.

  4. Ongoing reassessment

We determine frequency individually according to your goals, health and chosen form of administration.

Forms of NAD+ available at the clinic

Depending on the product and medical protocol:

  • NAD+ IV therapy: intravenous administration under staff supervision, from 100 mg; administration takes at least 90 minutes
  • NAD+ SQ: subcutaneous administration, a single dose from 50 mg; a simple option for trying NAD+ therapy for the first time
  • NADSQx™ Smart Pen 1000 mg: pre-filled injection pen for subcutaneous administration, available separately or with a thermal transport box; a disposable CE-certified autoinjector, with medication requiring refrigeration or a cooled transport box
  • NADairX®: an inhalation system using the lungs as the route of administration and containing 60 mg NAD+; no refrigeration required
  • Neuro Optimise NAD+ Brain Booster 600 mg: nasal spray with 600 mg NAD+, focused on supporting the nervous system, mental performance and cellular energy
  • Optima Max NR+ Neuro Optimiser: nasal spray with nicotinamide riboside (an NAD+ precursor) and ginsenoside Rg3; keep refrigerated

NAD+ versus NMN and NR supplements

NMN and NR are precursors, substances the body must first convert into NAD+, taken orally. Infusion delivers NAD+ directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive tract. Research into both approaches is ongoing, and direct comparisons remain limited.

Contraindications and precautions

Therapy is unsuitable or requires prior consultation in the following cases:

  • a doctor always assesses suitability for therapy at the initial consultation
  • faster administration may cause temporary chest pressure, nausea or flushing. These subside when the infusion is slowed
  • all chronic conditions and medication must be reported at the consultation

Before your examination

For a smooth examination and the most accurate results, we recommend:

  • for intravenous therapy, arrive after a light meal and well hydrated, unless the doctor advises otherwise
  • tell the doctor about all chronic conditions
  • bring a list of regular medicines and supplements
  • report allergies and previous reactions to treatment
  • allow sufficient time; infusion administration takes at least 90 minutes

What is NAD+?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme naturally present in every cell. It contributes to cellular energy production, mitochondrial function and cellular repair and maintenance mechanisms. Its levels in the body change with age and physical or psychological strain.

How does NAD+ therapy work?

Therapy is preceded by a medical consultation assessing your health, medical history, medication and, if needed, laboratory results. The doctor then selects the appropriate form of administration, dose and number of administrations. We use certified products from NAD Clinic.

Which forms of administration do you offer?

Depending on the product and medical protocol, NAD+ may be administered intravenously (IV), intramuscularly (IM) or subcutaneously (SQ). Our range also includes home use with a Smart Pen applicator, individually prescribed by the doctor.

Who is NAD+ therapy suitable for?

For clients wishing to support cellular energy and vitality, physical and mental recovery, cognitive performance, recovery after exertion, or metabolic and mitochondrial functions. A doctor always assesses suitability and the form of administration individually.

How does an NAD+ infusion differ from NMN or NR supplements?

NMN and NR are precursors, substances the body must first convert into NAD+, taken orally. Infusion delivers NAD+ directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive tract. Research into both approaches is ongoing, and direct comparisons remain limited.

How long does administration take?

NAD+ infusion generally takes longer than a standard vitamin infusion, at least 90 minutes.

What are the possible side effects?

Faster administration may cause temporary chest pressure, nausea or flushing, which subside when the infusion is slowed. Administration therefore takes place under healthcare supervision. Report all chronic conditions and medication at the consultation.

How often is therapy repeated?

Frequency is determined individually according to goals, health and the chosen form of administration.
